Chapter 1256: A Confession that wasn’t Really a Confession 7
Huo Mian was pleasantly surprised to see Jiang Xiaowei and Zhu Lingling. They had all been busy recently so aside from the occasional WeChat message, they barely met up.
Huo Mian's mood was immediately lifted upon seeing her two best friends.
"Mr. Qin called us and said he was treating us to roasted lamb leg…" Zhu Lingling playfully pointed at Qin Chu, and Huo Mian looked at him with happiness in her eyes. "Why didn't you say anything!"
"Would it still be a surprise if I told you?" Qin Chu lovingly rubbed Huo Mian's forehead.
Zhu Lingling walked up to Huo Mian and grabbed her arm. "Guys, enough, can you stop making us miserable? Stop being so cheesy!"
"Where's your police officer?"
"He's still on duty, he'll be here in a bit."
Huo Mian then turned around to look at Xiaowei. "Where's Young Master Wei?"
"He's stuck in traffic… I came with Lingling, we took the overpass…"
"Haha, what a smart cookie. Let's go in!" Then, Huo Mian linked arms with Zhu Lingling on her left and Jiang Xiaowei on her right, dragging them into the restaurant.
Qin Chu reserved the most luxurious private room inside the restaurant.
After sitting down, Huo Mian and her besties began chatting, and she quickly forgot about the sadness she just felt upon seeing Huo Yanyan.
Qin Chu, on the other hand, dealt with work on his phone and soon, Wei Liao and Gao Ran arrived.
The three of them were extremely eye-catching since every one of them was good looking.
Something interesting also happened as they ate…
A waiter knocked on their door and came in, actually asking for a photo and autographs.
At the time, Gao Ran asked in a showy manner, "Did you mistake me for that celebrity? Unfortunately, I'm not him."
To their surprise, however, the waiter replied, "No, I just thought you guys are really good looking, so perhaps you might become famous in the future. If I take a photo with you now, it might grow in value in the future."
After hearing what he said, the others all burst out in laughter…
Zhu Lingling laughed the hardest; she put her arms around Gao Ran's neck and mocked him, "Mr. Officer, I never thought you would have such an embarrassing moment!"
Jiang Xiaowei, on the other hand, smiled at the waiter. "It's a shame you're a waiter, you should invest in the stock market with me. You've got great taste, I'm sure you'll thrive in the future."
Yes, the waiter really did have good taste…
He was the designated waiter for this private room, but this was the first time he had seen so many good looking people gathered together.
He thought they were art students; therefore, he wanted to take a photo with them, just in case they became popular in the future.
The truth was… although none of them were actors, he still benefited.
Years later, when he unintentionally took this photo out, a friend of his immediately recognized the people in his photo and said, "Yo, your photoshop skills are really good. This looks really real."
Waiter: "This wasn't photoshopped, I actually took a photo with these people."
Friend: "Um… how did you get a chance to take photos with famous people like them?"
Waiter: "Famous people? They're famous?"
Friend: "Don't tell me you don't know who they are!"
Waiter: "I really don't. back when I was working at another restaurant, I took a photo with them on a whim."
Upon seeing his friend so dumbstruck, the waiter asked, "So who are they?"
Friend: "Here, let me introduce you to these people. The man with the gorgeous smile is Wei Corporation's CEO and the woman sitting beside him is Mrs. Wei, who was pregnant at the time. She's a famous domestic psychologist who later opened the biggest psychiatric hospital in our country. The person standing beside him, that tall guy with muscles is Director Gao, head of the Municipal Bureau. The woman standing beside him is his wife, and I heard that she created her own line of perfumes, she's a full-on iron lady."
Waiter: "Holy… What about this last couple? That insanely handsome man and the pretty woman beside him, I feel like their background would shock me the most."
